Inspired by the military traditions of Ancient Greece and Hellenistic history, the City States combine disciplined formations with mythical creatures and advanced technology. Beneath their outward appearance of order lies fierce political rivalry, as the Academic, Militarist and Demagogue Councils compete for influence while each city strives for supremacy.

The faction's unique Strategic Stack mechanic allows experienced commanders to sacrifice one activation to unleash devastating back-to-back activations elsewhere on the battlefield, rewarding careful planning and precise timing. Their Minotaur Auxiliary system further enhances their flexibility, allowing Minotaurs to be integrated directly into infantry regiments to dramatically increase their offensive or defensive capabilities.
